About PictoVeu

PictoVeu is a free pictogram app designed to facilitate communication, routines and therapies for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It has evolved into a complete ecosystem with four major modules, each designed for a specific area.

🏡 Family — Day to Day

The Family module is designed to provide autonomy at home and reduce anxiety in daily activities. It includes:

• Token Economy: customizable positive reinforcement system to set goals and rewards.
• Weekly Routine Calendar: plan the week with pictograms to anticipate each day's activities.
• Emotion Manager: helps identify and express basic emotions through pictograms.
• Clothing Recommender: suggests what to wear based on the weather and the day's activity.

🗣️ Speech Therapy — Oral Gym

A complete module for speech therapists. It allows creating customized exercises with visual and auditory instructions:

• Visual Training Mirror: the user can see themselves while performing exercises, facilitating imitation of orofacial movements.
• Recording Studio: the therapist can record their own voice as instruction and model sound for each exercise.
• Blowing, lingual and labial praxis exercises: classified by difficulty and therapeutic goal.
• Green/gray traffic light system for custom audios (recorded vs pending).

📚 Education — Visual Learning

Resources designed for the classroom and educational environment, facilitating visual organization and anticipation:

• Wall Charts & Organigrams Creator: design visual panels with pictograms to explain concepts, schedules or rules.
• PDF Export: print or share the created murals.
• Per-student customization: adapts content to each student's needs.

🏥 Healthcare — Medical Anticipation

Preparation for consultations, tests and medical procedures. Especially useful for reducing stress in healthcare environments:

• Symptom and test anticipation: visually explains what will happen in a medical consultation or test.
• Visual medical vocabulary: pictograms of symptoms, body parts and medical materials.
• Communication with doctors: allows the person to point out what hurts or what they need.
• Emergencies: specific pictograms for urgent situations, with vocabulary adapted for ambulances and hospitals.

Autism Mode vs Pro Mode

The app features two different interfaces protected by PIN, designed to adapt to each user:

• Autism Mode: clean, distraction-free environment. One-touch interaction. No visible settings menus. It is impossible to accidentally delete or modify items.
• Pro Mode (Tutor/Therapist): full access to configuration, color and icon customization, cropped photo uploads, custom audio recording and ZIP backups.

Available Languages

PictoVeu currently supports 9 languages: Spanish, Catalan, Basque, Galician, English, French, German, Arabic and Danish. Ideal for schools, multicultural families and international contexts.

PictoVeu has a community forum where families, therapists and educators can share routines, download templates, ask questions and connect with others. You are not alone!
